My Spirit Guides

Over the past several posts I've introduced you to by Gardian Angel and how she directs my spiritual life. I've alluded to three other spirit guides that I call my, "Lisa's." Today I want to introduce them to you and how they serve and guide me. I became aware of them several years ago.

One day during meditation I became aware that there were three other angel spirits sitting with me other than my GA. I asked my GA who they were and she simply said, “These are your spirit guides. In addition to my presence they are here to serve you as well.” I was introduced to them one by one. I asked their names and they said, “I am Lisa.” They all had the same name, “Lisa.” I found that odd until I looked up the name Lisa and found that it meant, “Servant of God.” Each one of the Lisa’s serve God by teaching me spiritual lessons.

As I began to work with my Lisa’s they told me that they each had a special place in my spiritual life they are, “Light Lisa,” “Dark Lisa,” and “Sad Lisa.”

Light Lisa is the angel who teaches all that is bright, hopeful, and optimistic in my life and in the world in general. I love working with Light Lisa. She takes me into bright shining lights. She shows me heaven and beautiful vistas. Light Lisa soothes my soul by allowing me to bask in the gentle spirits of the cosmos.

Dark Lisa is my shadow Angel. She deals with the darker aspect of my life. She helps me address those parts of my life that I’d rather not admit to, that I’m embarrassed of, those things that I call sin. Dark Lisa continually reminds me to be whole I need to address the dark part of my life. If I focus on only the light, then I’m out of balance. If I focus only on the light then I ignore the broken parts of my life that if left unaddressed will come to have more power than they should have in my life. Dark Lisa keeps me honest.

Sad Lisa represents all of my divine potential that will never be realized. She is sad because there is so much divine potential that I could realize in my life but choose not to access, not to utilize, or ignore. Whether I’m playing small, embarrassed, or afraid of my potential, Sad Lisa reminds me that there is a divine presence that is truly sad that I choose not to step into my ultimate potential as a child of God.

When I talk about my Lisa’s I’m often asked what they look like. I know that they are definitely angels but they don’t have wings or golden gowns. They are more surreal, they have a shadowy presence. I can touch them, feel them, and see them. When I meditate my Guardian Angel stands behind me, and my Lisa’s sit across from me.

Together, my three Lisa’s work with me, guide me, provide visions and mystic realities that shape and form my spiritual life.

This morning I had a vision from my Dark Lisa. I'll share the word that we did together next week. 

You too have spirit guides. You have a guardian angel that serves you and other angels that teach you. Consider the biblical story of the Angel that revealed to the shepherds that baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem. After the announcment the shepherds were surrounded by a heavenly host praising God. It's this same heavenly host that surrounds you. As I have learned about my spirit guides I invite you to do the same. They are here to show you the depths of the spiritual world. Awaken to their presence.
