Creator of the Cosmos, Celebrate Life!

The Angels want to turn my spiritual head.

First there was the Back Side of the cross. I still need to write about that one as I come to understand it's meaning.

Then there was intercessory prayer from earlier in the week.

Then this morning they told me to be done with the Jesus prayer.

I had met the angels and immediately started talking to them. My Guardian Angel, my GA,  told me to settle down and meditate. So I did. I quieted my mind and then slipped into my mantra, the Jesus prayer . . .

Lord Jesus Christ
Son of God
Have Mercy on me.

For some this prayer has never worked. It's a reflection of a dusty spirituality. For me it's been a central part of my spiritual practice. The mantra is as old as the Desert Fathers in 407 CE. It’s been used by Christians for over one and half centuries. It’s a reference to Paul’s direction to pray without ceasing. There’s a rhythm to it that allows my breathing to fall into a gentle pattern. Through the mantra my mind slips into quiet oblivion. Over the years I’ve taught the mantra to hundreds of people learning how to meditate. This morning the Guardian Angel told me to change.

The conversation went like this . . .

Me: (Repeating the Jesus prayer.)

GA: You really need to stop this and get a new mantra.

There is no subtleties with the GA. She speaks the truth to me clearly and directly.

Me: A new mantra? But I’ve been saying this for decades.

GA: I know, it’s time that you stop this. It’s not who you are anymore. It’s not a reflection of how I want you to believe.

Me: But isn’t Jesus the Son of God?

GA: Of course he is the son of God, as his Buddha, Mohammed, Brahman, You and all the others in the spiritual pantheon. These are things that we’ve covered long ago, you know these things, you need to align yourself with what you believe to be true.

Me: Then what am I supposed to say?

She spoke the new mantra but it took me a moment to understand the articulation, then it became crystal clear.

GA: Say this,  “Creator of the Cosmos, I celebrate life.”

Me: Is that it? It’s that simple?

GA: Yes, that’s it. It’s who you are; that’s what you believe; that’s what you’re to meditate on. “Creator of the Cosmos, I celebrate life!”

I began using the new mantra. I immediately felt it’s significance and power. The GA was right. It is a reflection of my true identity, a child of the cosmos. I do celebrate life in all it’s glory. “Creator of the Cosmos, I celebrate life!”

As wonderful as the revelation was, I have to say I felt a certain sadness to let go of that which I have practiced and taught for decades and decades. I think that’s natural and normal. When we learn new spiritual insights there is celebration and excitement of the new. However, there is also a time of longing for the old. But once you see the new, there’s no going back. The spiritual doors have been opened towards the future. There is no option but moving forward. Spiritual growth means shedding old beliefs and affirming new ideas and concepts.

It’s becoming very clear to me, the Angels want me to change, to transform, to let go of all old practises and ideas so that I can develop into something new. I know this is why I’ve been given these visions. The Angels want me to transform. They invite you to transform as well. I’m seeing these things not just for my own spiritual growth, but for your’s as well. Some people will find these visions as confirmation of what they have known for years, for others they're an invitation to open new doors.

Consider the blog post about intercessory prayer. It touched a spiritual note for many people. I received more comments on that post than on any other. It challenged people’s concepts on prayer, for others it confirmed what they have known for ages. Some people said it was the best thing I’ve ever written.

Here’s a key point that I want you to understand, that you must understand. I’m not “writing” these posts. I’m relaying what the Angels reveal to me. I work hard to edit out “creative license.” I see, I work to understand the visions, and I share my understandings with you so that we all might apply them to our lives. If you receive value from these insights, it comes from the angels and my work with them.

So I will continue to let go, change and follow the path of transformation.

“Creator of the Cosmos, I celebrate life!”

Yes, that’s what I do, it’s who I am. It’s my new mantra. I offer it to you as well. May you let go of the old and celebrate life with the Creator of the Cosmos.

A footnote . . . As I read through the last post on intercessory prayer I found so many grammatical errors that it made the writer in me groan. My guess is that this post is the same. I appreciate your willingness to read past these errors. I can see visions of the cosmos, but I can’t see grammar errors on the page. As I’ve always said, "Grammar is not my spiritual gift." There have been several people who have offered to edit these posts before they’re published. Thanks, but I’ll pass. There is a certain immediacy to the visions that the angels want this blog to have. So dear reader, chuckle at my errors be they grammatical or spiritual.
